Our journey
Once a sacred place inhabited by hunter-gatherers some 250 000 – 500 000 years ago, the site resonates with history. The heritage of our location is of an old family home that once rang with children’s laughter, spirited mealtime banter and the patter of children’s feet along secret paths that led to neighbouring allies. A place where childhood friendships were forged, and plots hatched. A place of freedom, discovery, and joy.
From this era sprung the owner’s abiding love for Northcliff, and where the desire to preserve and share this remarkable location took root.
The birth of The Cliffside represents the culmination of this dream – the organic metamorphosis of a traditional family home into a more restful, contemporary, and uncluttered living space that exemplifies stylish simplicity.
